What It Takes To Get Fast Cash Today

When you need fast cash today, there are literally thousands of ways to do it.  You can get a loan, sell some of your stuff, get a job, or even recycle the crap laying around your house.  In this post I’ll cover the bulk of these, but it’s nearly impossible to show you every way to make money now.  Hopefully by reading through this you’ll be able to get an idea of what will work for you, and your situation.

Fast Cash Loans

Easy payday loans are everywhere.  To get approved all you really need is a job, a pulse, and a bank account.  Rather than bore you with the details of how to get a loan like this, I want to go over some situations where it may be hard to get approved for one reason or another.

First off, if you’re credit score sucks, don’t worry.  The bad credit payday loan is the norm.  If they checked everyone’s credit, loan processing would take forever, and no one would get approved.  So don’t let your credit score prevent you from applying for a loan.

If you have outstanding payday loans, you have a pretty big problem on your hands.  However, there are still a couple of no Teletrack payday loans out there, but they are becoming pretty rare.  Teletrack also checks if you recently had a bankruptcy and how often you overdraft your bank account.  When you find a company that does this, expect to pay a bit more for the loan.

There are a ton of ways to get same day cash without having to borrow money.  What you do depends on how much time you have available, what you’re good at, and how much money you need.  When I need money now, I use the things discussed below before considering a loan.  This will reduce the amount that I need to borrow, which costs me a lot less in the long run.

If you have a credit card, you may be able to get money from that.  A credit card cash advance is another expensive way to get the money you need, but it can be a big help in a pinch.  To get an advance this way, you’re going to have to call the customer service number on the back of your credit card and talk to the rep to get the PIN number for your card.  Then you just go to an ATM and withdraw cash.  These are pretty expensive, but can be helpful.

Odd jobs are another great way to make money fast and easy.  When I do this, I hit up my family members and friends to see if there is anything that I can do for them.  Generally, I’ll land a few babysitting gigs and will walk away with quite a bit of cash.  You can do whatever it is that you’re good at, but your family will be very appreciative since you’re not hitting them up to borrow money, instead you’re earning it.

Selling off your extra stuff is pretty straightforward.  If you must have cash today, go to the pawn shop.  If you have a little bit more time, sell it on Craigslist, you’ll get a lot more money for it there.

Recycling scrap metal, cans, bottles, and plastic is another way to get fast cash today.  It will usually take a little bit of help and a truck, but you can make quite a bit this way.  Non ferrous metal (stuff that magnets don’t stick to) is going to get you the most money at scrap metal recyclers.

If you’re broke and need some fast cash you are in luck.  There are tons of different ways to make money fast that most people don’t consider.  Making money is pretty easy when you can switch to a resourceful mindset.  When you can see the world as a bunch of opportunities, instead of a bunch of people and things, your eyes will be open to tons of different ways to get paid!

When people need money, they usually turn to a fast cash loan.  This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the money making ideas that I’ll outline here will either eliminate or reduce the need for a loan.  Even if you still need to borrow money, you’ll be able to borrow much less (which means that you’ll also pay back less!).

Easy Ways To Make Fast Cash

1.  Sell stuff. The easiest and most obvious way to get paid is to sell the stuff that’s laying around your house.  You can do this online or in your city.  Selling stuff locally will get you paid faster and save you all of the trips to the post office.  In your city there are probably a lot more places than you think that buy used stuff.  Most record stores will buy your old CD’s and vinyl.  Video game stores will buy your old games and systems.  Bookstores (local ones, not the big chain type) will buy your old books.  Jewelry stores buy old and broken jewelry.  Guitar Center will buy all of your old music equipment.  Take a look around your house and I’m sure that you’ll find all sorts of stuff that can help you get paid!

If you don’t want to have to drive around your town from store to store, you can find a couple of pawn shops in your area to take it all to.  I say a couple, because the odds aren’t in your favor that one shop will buy everything that you have to sell.

Selling stuff online is easy as well, but not as fast.  Amazon, eBay, and Craigslist are all great sites that allow you to sell your wares.  Amazon and eBay will charge you a small fee for using their service, but the good thing is that those sites get hundreds of thousands of visitors each day, so you have a really good chance of selling your stuff.  Craigslist allows you to sell whatever you have locally, and they usually don’t charge anything.

Before you head out the door to the pawn shop, spend some time doing everything you can to make your stuff look new.  That might mean cleaning up your bike and putting new tubes in it, but this way you’ll get everything that it’s worth.  Think like a shopper while you’re doing this, because that is essentially who the people you’re selling this stuff to are.  If it looks like it’s been well taken care of you’re going to get more money for it.

2.  Finding odd jobs is easy. There are tons of random things that people get paid for each day.  Every day that you’re not doing this is money lost!  To find the weird jobs like this you can look in the classified section of your local newspaper or alternative press, or even better use Craigslist.  On Craigslist there is a job section dedicated to all of the non-traditional jobs out there, and most of them will pay cash!  The section is called “Etc” and here you’ll find offers for being a taste tester, a guinea pig, an egg donor, hand out fliers, or any other odd job that fits your area.

3.  Recycle! Most areas will pay good money for recycling cans and bottles.  Here in California we get paid a dime for every wine bottle that we recycle.  It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that you can make a lot of money doing this!  The trick is to go around and hit up all of the restaurants in your area and see if they’re willing to spare their extra glass.  Making a few hundred bucks this way is not hard at all.

4.  Get paid for returning pallets. If you live in an area where there is lots of undeveloped land in the middle of a big city, odds are that there are tons of pallets hanging out in those lots.  It will take you a little bit of time to find a place that buys pallets, but there are a lot of them!  Most places will pay $5-10 for each usable pallet.  Don’t steal pallets!

5.  Host a bake sale. Most bake sales have some sort of event or charity that the money goes to, but yours doesn’t.  You can say that you’re trying to put your kid into college, or something along those lines, and people will fork out good money for cookies and brownies (especially if they’re good).  Don’t be an idiot and use unsafe practices when baking though, you’ll end up paying more in medical fees than you can ever imagine to make from a bake sale if you get people sick!

6.  Get crafty! People will buy all sorts of crap.  If you have a skill that allows you to make craft fair type stuff, there is a huge market for it.  This is especially true during the holiday season.  My favorite move is people that make custom Christmas tree ornaments, take orders from the neighborhood, then deliver personalized ornaments in a day or two.  Talk about easy money!

7.  Be a street performer. It’s commonly known that street performers can make a lot of money in a day.  If you can sing, play guitar, tell jokes, or do anything else that will grab people’s attention you can make a good amount of money in one day.  Most people are too embarrassed to do this, and if that sounds like you – go to another city to do it!  No one will know you in a different city!

8.  Start a business. It might seem like a pain in the ass to start a business, but I’ll show you an example of what a friend of mine does to make over 10 grand during the holiday season.  He ended up with a ton of Christmas lights and was trying to figure out something to do with them.  The holidays were approaching and he decided to print off some fliers that offered his service of putting up and taking down Christmas lights on people’s houses.  His neighborhood has a lot of senior citizens, so they were more than willing to fork over the $150 for his service.  If they had their own lights, it was $75.  It was possible for him to knock out 6 or 7 houses in a single day, bringing in close to $1000!  Talk about easy fast cash!

These aren’t the only ways to get paid.  Your neighborhood might have a whole different set of opportunities (pool cleaning?).  The thing is that you have to think outside of the box a bit and go get yourself some fast cash!
