Earn money today – get a job!
Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no such thing as fast cash. Unless you win the lottery or rob a bank, the only kind of cash you will get is the cash you earn. There are many things that might prevent you from getting a job and keeping it. In this article we will discuss what some of those things are. We will discuss practical ways to land and keep a job. Earn money today, get a life, and for mercy’s sake, get a job!
Finding a job requires you to know two things. The first, is yourself. Understand your capabilities, what you are best at, and what you enjoy doing. Next, you have to understand the job market. Know what kind of a job you are looking for. Of course there are so many qualities that you need to build in your character to keep a job, but we are not going to discuss them here. In this article we will talk about some practical ways of getting a job. Here are a few steps you can take to land yourself a job.
Step one: Network. If you have friends or family in the area, ask them for referrals. Confidently tell them that you are looking for a job in such and such a field which you are qualified in, and ask them if they know of an opening. Chances are they will know of an opening, and tell your potential boss about you. You have a much better chance of landing a job if you are referred to someone by a friend of yours whom they trust. Now is also not the time to be choosy. Go with the best position you can get, and then work your way up.
Step two: Prepare for your interview. In most corporate placements, your interviewers will ask you to tell you something about yourself. They are not asking you for your autobiography, but simply want you to loosen up and tell them about your life, your passions, and goals for the future. This is the part where you get to tell them why you want to join XYZ company and how you will be a benefit to them.
Step three: Prepare to settle down. If you have moved a lot and do not have a place to call home, then maybe now is the time to choose a place to settle in. The way you will really make progress in any job, or even convince your boss that you mean business is to settle down in a city. Let your roots down and you will find that stability that has been eluding you all these years.
This is a guest post from a good friend of mine Susan Taft. She runs a website that helps people get second chance bank accounts and get their finances back in order.
Make Money Now
There are many times that I’ve been in a pinch, therefore based on my own experiences, here are some ways to make money now.
I had been laid off from my 26 year IT career back in May of 2004, was only able to obtain a seasonal tax preparer job, my unemployment payments were decreasing, creditors were harassing me, and I was on the verge of bankruptcy. The first thing I did right after I was laid off was to clean out my 401k and use it to make some extra mortgage payments and to pay for my health insurance premiums. The part I used to pay for my health insurance premiums was not penalized the 10% early withdraw fees. Then there was one month back in the summer of 2006 where I had real difficulty coming up with all of our mortgage payment for that month.
Sell Stuff To Make Money Now
I called my brother and asked him if he wanted to buy my notebook computer from me for the $350 we were short for the mortgage, and he agreed and bought it. Along with my notebook, I was able to make money fast with taking a lot of the other stuff laying around my house and selling it off. I hit up pawn shops, used books stores, clothing consignment shops, and anywhere else that bought used stuff. Luckily, I live in a big city so I had lots of places to choose from. If I had lived in a small city I would have turned to Amazon or eBay to make money now online.
There were several other times that we were short of money for food, where I took my huge spring water bottle full of pennies to the bank or supermarket coin counting machine, and cashed them in so we could make ends meet and have enough food for those weeks. Also to make money now, I gathered up some of the antiques that my grandmother had left me when she died back in 1999 and took them over to an antique shop and sold the ones they wanted to buy. Then I gathered up several unused electronics and took them to our neighborhood pawnshop to sell for good money. This was how much I was slowly slipping into poverty.
Get Help and Get Money
It finally got to the point where I had to apply for charity care at a hospital to help pay some of my medical expenses that my limited basic insurance would not cover, and I had to apply for medicaid and food stamps and utility assistance, had my SUV repossessed in January 2007, declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February 2007, and sold our house in January of 2008. Today I’m still in a poverty financial situation, however I’ve also found numerous ways to make money now on the internet, which helps my financial situation.
Luckily, I found Lydia’s blog, Fast Cash Authority, and she showed me many new ways that I would have never of to make fast cash. I was always very tentative about payday loans and other fast cash loans, but she showed me that they’re legit and how to use them without getting into trouble. The resourcefulness that she’s showed me has really helped my life begin to turn around. And to repay what she’s shown me, I wrote this blog post for her!
